NOWScouts Plaque - Framed

Each NOWScouts plaque is made using reclaimed wood, and hand-made by Green Beret and NOWScout, Mike Bergstrom, right here in North Carolina.

(A little about the process that goes into making one of these plaques. First, careful selection of the wood to be used then the pieces are glued together. Then on to the 10 hour carve process on the CNC machine. The design and words are carved 3/16 deep then painted (in most cases black). Once the paint is dry, the carving will be poured with food safe epoxy resin (ER). I use food safe ER because I make a lot of cutting boards with designs on them using the same process as above. After the ER dries normally about 24 hours I then resurface the plaque again using the CNC machine producing a clean smooth surface that is ready for sanding. They are sanded up to 400 grit sandpaper, stained and spray lacquered.) 

Each plaque is made to order, so please allow 3 weeks for processing.
